Janett Silvers works as an Instructional Designer for the Office of Digital Learning at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College where she works with ASU faculty and subject matter experts to design, develop and evaluate learning experiences for diverse groups of students.
Over her 7+ years working in higher education, Janett has collaborated with university leaders, faculty members and members of the community in various projects that foster equitable learning solutions. She is passionate about online teaching, having worked as Quality Assurance lead for Online Teaching and Learning and joined many efforts to increase the quality of online learning for students of underrepresented populations.
Janett is currently pursing a Doctor of Education degree in Learning Design and Leadership at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research focuses on how instructional design helps elevate equity-minded teaching in higher education.
